The SLAM groups at Leiden are organising a 1-day symposium on June 4 to discuss recent developments, future challenges, and collaboration opportunities, in the field of Active Solids. The program of the day includes invited talks by Jennifer Schwarz, Alexandre Kabla, Michael Lerch, Gijsje Koenderink, Corentin Coulais, and Martin van Hecke, covering all aspects of active solids, from fundamental considerations, to applications, to biological implications.
